Reminder: Subcommittee Meeting Tomorrow Morning

Just a reminder that the Government Competition and Privatization Subcommittee will be meeting tomorrow, Wednesday November 7th at 9AM in Room W125 of the House Building at the Capitol Complex. This meeting will be to specifically discuss UTOPIA-related legislation as discussed in the prior meeting. (Read more here.) Prior to the meeting, it will be very important that you e-mail members of the committee to express how you feel about the proposals on the table. Killing bills in committee is much easier than trying to kill them during the general session.

I’ve already sent my letters to the members AND spoke with Leif Elder just a while ago. He received a copy of my letter which I’ve requested they read tomorrow. Wish I could join you all. It’s going to be one hell of a fight.
Between the agenda item at 10am and my plane flight, I’d only have 90 minutes to fly out. :/
Leif said he would ask if they could read my letter. I asked at the bottom of the letter just in case anyone was wondering.
I won’t stand for it. The thought of companies abusing people and the Government restrictions on a possible solution. If they don’t like Utopia then they better damn well come up with something that protects businesses and residents. Otherwise it’s more of the same crap.
An no third world country would put up with that kid of crap, or poor Internet service. Even thought realize the Internet is important. So why are our Politicians so slow in figuring it out? After all, no Internet Tax right? Must be important otherwise we wouldn’t make such a big deal over it.
Pffttt… retarded politicians. Fire these guys voting for restrictions and start again.
One more rant before I close. Just checked out the West Jordan city web site. Interesting that the City Council members who received money from Comcast are the loudest against Utopia when I speak with them.
Disclosure right here. It’s not a lot of money but the thought that counts
